O LED Therapy

Skin improvement at cellular level

What LED does that other treatments can't

Active treatments push the skin towards change. LED does something different: it supports the processes needed to actually let that change happen. Not stressing the skin, but strengthening it.

The LED systems from O Cosmedics work through photobiomodulation — light energy that is absorbed by the skin cells and directly influences repair, calming inflammation and cell activity. This makes LED usable for virtually every skin condition, including sensitive and reactive skin.

How it works at the cellular level

When the skin absorbs light energy, a number of important processes are stimulated. The production of ATP (cellular energy) increases, so cells can function and recover more efficiently. At the same time, the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, inflammation is reduced and cell renewal is accelerated.

The result is a skin that not only recovers better from treatments, but also becomes structurally stronger and more balanced.

Broadly applicable, even where other treatments aren't

LED is valuable precisely because it can be used at moments when active treatments can't.

  • Acne — anti-inflammatory and antibacterial.
  • Rosacea and sensitive skin — calms and supports the barrier function.
  • Skin ageing — stimulates firmness and collagen production.
  • 'Clown' eczema or atopic eczema — where direct treatment isn't always possible, LED offers a safe way to keep supporting the skin.

Two systems

O Cosmedics LED consists of two systems that complement each other: one for the treatment room and one for home.

In the treatment room

Focus

Focus for professionals is developed for use in the treatment room. You use it during or after a treatment to accelerate recovery and strengthen results. It fits seamlessly into existing treatment protocols and requires no major change to the way you work.

At home

Consumer device

The consumer device gives clients the option to keep working on their skin at home. This is valuable for intensive acne protocols, sensitive skin or skin conditions where consistency is essential. The device can be given along or rented out, so the skin stays continuously supported outside the treatment room too.

An extension of your treatment protocol

What sets LED apart from other additions is the flexibility with which you can use it. Before a treatment to prepare the skin. Afterwards to accelerate recovery and shorten downtime. Or as a standalone treatment within a protocol, at moments when more active steps aren't yet possible.

For us, LED isn't an 'extra' — it has become a fixed part of how we build treatment protocols. It makes treatments more effective, results more predictable and clients more actively involved in their own skin journey.
